Kanye West and model Candice Swanepoel hang out during NYFW and are spotted arriving together at hotel early Wednesday morning after attending party for his new GAP sunglasses.
Kanye West and Candice Swanepoel spent some time together at New York Fashion Week.
The Yeezy tycoon, 45, appeared alongside the supermodel, 33, at a New York Fashion Week event on Tuesday for West’s new Yeezy Gap Shadz sunglasses.
In footage obtained by TMZ, the pair appear to be in good spirits as they hang out at the event, posing for photos and chatting with fellow guests.
The pair then left the event before arriving at the hotel together Wednesday morning, according to TMZ.
The model appeared in an event for a new sunglasses collection shared with Yeezy‘s Instagram account earlier this week.
In a photo the model also shared on her Instagram account, Swanepoel can be seen with her hair pulled back and her arms crossed over her bare chest. In another photo, her head appears shaved in a close-up in futuristic tones.
Last month, Kim Kardashian, who shares four children with West, shared a photo of her wearing West’s Yeezy SHDZ YR 3022 with daughters Chicago, 4, and North, 9.
Kardashian, 41, and West, who split in early 2021 after seven years of marriage, also have sons Psalm, 3, and Saint, 6.
Earlier this year, Swanepoel joined Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks and Alessandra Ambrosio in a campaign for the Kardashian SKIMS model piece from Kardashian’s best-selling “For Everyone” collection.
West’s fashion empire is currently undergoing some changes. Lawyers for the 24-time Grammy winner informed Gap on Thursday that YEEZY LLC is terminating their partnership in a letter accusing the retail giant of violating agreements by not releasing apparel, The Wall Street Journal reported. Or open planned retail stores.
Lawyers for YEEZY and Gap did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment at the time.
In the letter obtained by The Wall Street Journal, West’s attorney, Nicholas Gravante Jr., claimed that in addition to opening five stores dedicated to the YEEZY Gap line through July 31, 2023. It claims the company has yet to open a dedicated location.
“It’s always been my dream to be Gap and bring the best product possible,” West told CNBC’s Closing Bell. “Obviously when you’re trying to build something new and integrate the team, there’s always going to be difficulties and iterations.”
Despite the future termination of the partnership, the letter allows Gap to continue selling existing YEEZY Gap products until it ceases to use the brand name. It also does not affect merchandise produced in partnership with Balenciaga through YEEZY, which is also sold through Gap.
West previously gave Gap an ultimatum in a self-deleted video posted to Instagram last month, accusing the company of stealing his designs and excluding him from the creative process.
“You have to really put me in the Ye position, let me do what I want to do, or I have to do this idea somewhere else,” he said, according to the Wall Street Journal, and he also announced his plans to “go global OPEN YEEZY STORE””, starting in Atlanta.
The Donda artist warned Gap that they were next on his list after a similar public spat with Adidas, which also has a 10-year partnership with YEEZY. Adidas did not previously respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
